Good Channeling and Bad

How to Tell Good Channeled Messages
from Bad or Tainted Ones

The metaphysical community is wonderful but I'm becoming increasingly disturbed by a lack of discernment in regard to information being widely disseminated. Intuition and psychic ability should never be substituted for common sense and wisdom. I recently met one woman who, in regard to a topic, practically said, "It's in a book so it must be true." Sorry, but that's no more accurate for the metaphysical field than it is for any other. After all, even Hitler wrote a book. That certainly doesn't mean he was right.

Similarly, this woman seemed to think that all channeled messages were accurate and clean. Wrong! On the contrary, she had no discernment whatsoever that channeled messages could be tainted, even unknowingly.

The first potential problem with any channeled material is the person bringing
the message through. A person who is very fearful will naturally, though unconsciously,
contaminate even the most loving message with fear. Don't let someone's kind exterior fool you. I've met someone very nice people that hid a great deal of fear inside them. Someone who is an otherwise wonderful person can unknowingly transfer his or her own issues to any channeled message that pings those issues. I've yet to meet a perfect person or someone who was a perfect channel, and I don't think it's fair to expect someone to be perfect either way. So what do we do? I'll get that in a minute.

Second, not every being channeled is good nor is every being channeled telling the truth. There are some nasty entities in the astral realm, many of whom are more than willing and able to pretend to be an archangel or a guide or an ascended master while sending a message.

So what do we do? Search the message for fear. True, heaven-based messages will contain no fear. Even if an ascended master or guide or angel has to give a difficult message, it will be done with love and in an empowering way. For instance, a person might be guided to do something, like take a different route. They won't be told, "you'll be mugged on your way home." The former method will accomplish the same thing -- get you away from the danger -- without scaring you. Fear is an illusion and heaven knows that so no one truly from heaven will tell you anything that sounds fearful.

Watch out for things like angels claiming to be in despair over whatever. Angels are completely plugged into Divinity and can see the higher purpose of everything. They may be confused by why we take the hard and long road, but they know that in the end things will work out in the way needed for the greatest good of all. Why would they despair?

Also watch out for 20-page messages supposedly from archangels. Angels and archangels tend to act more than they communicate (Gabriel being a possible exception and even then a message won't be that long). They tend to give brief messages so anything really long supposedly from an archangel was embellished -- consciously or unconsciously -- by the receiver even if the message was otherwise clean.

Some ascended masters can be wordy but most are pretty efficient in what they say.

Also, any message that talks of "hierarchy of heaven" or "spiritual hierarchy" or that some groups are more important or special than others is tainted. Hierarchies are an earthly thing. Everyone in heaven has a role to play -- usually several -- but everyone knows they're part of the greater whole. Belief in hierarchy is all about belief in separation. Heaven is about oneness.

Similarly when a message talks about "chosen ones" or special people, it's tainted. Divinity loves every person completely and fully. It doesn't play favorites and heaven knows that even the most stuck, fear-based, unhappy person can change in a heartbeat if they allow it.
