Grand Water Trine - exact May 7 (full range of effect about April 26 - May 19)
Jupiter trine Uranus trine Mars

Grand Water Trines are uncommon occurrences that happen when three planets are 120 degrees from each other forming an equilateral triangle. Astrologically, it means an easy flow of energy concerning the element involved. In this case, that's water, which represents emotion and intuition.

The first stage of this grand aspect begins with Jupiter in Scorpio trining Uranus in Pisces, which is in effect March 26 - May 25. Uranus is the planet of sudden changes, breakthroughs, chaos and individuality. It's not quite halfway through its transit of Pisces (it'll be there until 2010) so it still has a lot to accomplish when it comes to stirring up the alternative medicine field, spirituality and anything involving empathy, compassion and how we connect to Divinity. Uranus asks us what needs to be shaken up in our lives? Where do we conform to our detriment? In what part of our lives do we feel trapped? What do we need to do to have more freedom? What do we need to do to really live up to greatest potential?

At the same time, Jupiter is retrograde in Scorpio asking us what do we really believe and how does that positively or adversely affect our careers, our lives and our spiritual connection? Jupiter rules beliefs, good fortune, abundance, expansion and travel, so if we don't believe we're worthy of success, the Universe will appear stingy. Once we change those beliefs, and retrograde Jupiter is a great time for self-analysis to transform beliefs, we can receive the luck, prosperity and opportunities we truly deserve. Scorpio's perception makes it easier to discern these limitations so they can be transformed and we can live our passion.

When Jupiter and Uranus trine, the combination can create great breakthroughs. Whether they last, however, depends upon you. If you really have done the work to wake up and transform any limiting or self-sabotaging beliefs and/or habits, the success will last. If, however, you remain trapped in false beliefs that you're not good enough, no one wants what you offer, you can't make a living doing what you love, etc., then the benefits could be short lived or you could be promised opportunities that disappear. The power is always within you because you alone have the power to choose to change your life.

Then beginning about April 26 Mars in Cancer enters the scene and provides the third point that turns Jupiter trine Uranus into a Grand Water trine. Mars represents action, energy and initiative as well as anger. In the sign of Cancers, Mars urges us to take action to change anything within our homes and our emotional life that isn't working. At least that's the positive side of Mars. If we don't take action to address/change problems, Mars energy can turn to anger and resentments, frustration and fights are likely to occur. Mars always functions better when you give it an opportunity to do something so channel any frustration and impatience into positive action.

In a Grand Trine aspect with Jupiter and Uranus, Mars can provide the rocket fuel to really spark long-term, positive action and transformation. While Jupiter focuses on beliefs and Uranus is change and sudden breakthroughs, Mars in Cancer gives us the incentive to look at patterns from childhood that may have created these self-sabotaging beliefs.

For instance, you could have had the most loving mother in the world but if she wasn't around much when you were a child because she had to work and the little time she had at home was focused on other activities, like cleaning, you could have accidentally picked up the belief that you were unappreciated, unloved (or not loved enough) and that you didn't matter. This can set up a subconscious pattern that stops you from putting yourself out in the world, being successful and attracting positive attention. It can also set up a subconscious belief that since you have no value, you have to give a thousand times more than you receive. That will definitely limit or block your success.

Mars trine Jupiter can bring not only energy for change but unexpected benefits, like inheritances, raises or opportunities. Mars also always asks us to consider how are we using our energy? Do we waste our time with things that really don't matter? Do we spend so much time trying to be perfect that we never finish anything? Do we say we have one goal but then never actually take action to achieve it? Conscious attempts to synchronize Jupiter's beliefs with Mars action will be very productive during this Grand Trine period whether you're doing personal self-growth work, seeing a counselor, working with a prosperity coach, career coach or life coach, etc.

Then adding Uranus to the mix means that we have the potential for tremendous emotional breakthroughs. Mars and Uranus are considered to be very masculine planets, which means that they are very active and help us to accomplish things, yet this trine is in the feminine water signs. That helps to soften what could otherwise be an explosive combination and it gives us the power to change subconscious and emotional patterns that undermine how we use our power and authority to create our lives.

If this still seems confusing, look at it like a math equation:
Jupiter (beliefs) + Uranus (change) + Mars (action) = the opportunity to heal self-sabotage and be more successful.

The one caution, however, with Grand Trines is that the aspect is so beneficial and things can flow so easily that people are lazy and don't do anything with it. Lucky situations can happen with this aspect but if you want to keep the luck and its benefits, you have to do the work to make the changes permanent.
