Angel Power Therapy: A form of spiritual/intuitive therapy in which the counselor works with the Angels and Ascended Masters to go to the source of what holds you back from manifesting Heaven’s abundance in your life. Belinda Womack began this form of therapy/healing to teach clients how to reclaim their own Divine ability to manifest and be aware. Angel Power Tools: Also known as "chakra fire." God's Light and Sound combined with the energy of the chakras activated through a person's imagination and intention. The term was first used in the book Angel's Guide by Belinda Womack. Astrology: The study of the positions and aspects of celestial bodies to discern their influence on individuals and life in general. Aura: An energy field that surrounds people, plants, etc. Some people can see or sense auras. The color or condition of an aura can indicate one's current state of being (health, illness, happiness, emotional distress, etc.) Aura-Soma: Developed by Vicky Wall in London in the mid-1980s, this is a combination of color therapy, aromatherapy, aura balancing and chakra healing. Wall wrote The Miracle of Colour Healing: Aura-Soma Therapy as the Mirror of the Soul, (HarperCollins Publishers, Inc., 1993). Thorsons Publishers issued its second edition in 2001. The official site is at Aura Soma. For those in the New York Metropolitan area, I know of an especially wonderful Aura Soma consultant but she doesn't have a Web site or email address. Her name is Rosanna Chavez and her phone number is (212) 769-3279. Chakra: According to Vedic tradition, a chakra is an energy center in the body. Each center has various qualities and they should all be in alignment with each other. The word is Sanskrit for "wheel." Chakra Fire: An energy technique that combines Divine Light and Divine with the colors and energies of the chakras. The term was first used in the book Angel's Guide by Belinda Womack. Channeling: Bringing in messages from the other side. Channelers convey messages from angels, ascended masters, guides and the deceased, though the latter are usually called "mediums." Chi: The word means "breath" or "energy." Chi is both the energy that moves within the human body and around us. Good flow of chi encourages good health, abundance, creativity, wisdom, etc. Clairaudience: A person who can hear things beyond the range of normal hearing, whether that is intuition, information from angels, guides, etc. Claircognizance: Another term for clairgnosis. A person who "knows" things from beyond the ability of the normal senses to discern. Clairgnosis: A person who "knows" things from beyond the ability of the normal senses to discern. Clairsentience: A person who can sense information beyond the range of the normal senses (smell, sound, etc.) Clairvoyance: A person who "sees" information with their mind's eye rather than their physical eyes. The information is such that cannot be discerned by the normal senses. Empath: Someone who can sense or feel the emotions of others. Feng Shui: The Chinese art of placement that strives to create harmonious environments through the proper placement of furniture and accessories as well as proper use of color, materials, etc. When your environment is properly aligned, feng shui states that chi will flow properly bringing good health, abundance, creativity and more. Medium: Someone who can communicate with the spirits of those who have passed on. Palmistry: The art of discerning a person's future or past, as well as personality traits, through study of the lines, marks, and patterns on the palms of the hands. Psychometry: Picking up emotions and/or information about a person or situation by holding an item owned by that person or related to that situation. Reiki: A form of energetic healing that often, but not always, involves laying on of hands. Dr. Mikao Usui "rediscovered" Reiki in the late 1800s, in Japan. Reiki practitioners or Reiki masters channel this "universal life energy power" to the person they are working on and balance the person's emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual bodies. The word "reiki" comes from two Japanese words: rei, which means "spirit" or "soul," and ki ("energy," "life force"). Retrogrades are optical illusions that occur from our vantage point on earth and make it appear that a planet is moving backward. When a planet is retrograde the energy of that planet is directed internally to make us reconsider, redo, re-evaluate, etc. some portion of our lives. What that is will depend upon the planet that is retrograde and the sign it is moving through. Runes: The sacred alphabet of the Norse peoples, it can be used to, among other things, discern information about a person's future. Spiritual Counseling: In metaphysical circles it means a form of counseling that takes the entire person into account, not just their mental and emotional aspects, and examines problems from both a practical and spiritual perspective without endorsing any specific doctrine of spiritual belief. Tarot: Any of a set of specialized cards, divided into a Major and Minor Arcana, that are used to answer questions.
