Summer 2020 SPF Faves
I’m on a continuing mission to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilisations, and to find an SPF my partner and teenager will tolerate on their skin.
September 2020 #TLDRs
I hope I don’t offend you by saying this, but it’s the end of September. I know! 2020 has been a mind game. Here some of the things that got me through.

I live in a small Australian country town with the power of buying all the things online and a skincare obsession no one else cares two figs for. I'm writing love letters and (hopefully) constructive criticism to the goo I put on my face, the stuff I spend money on, and the things I give my time to.
Summer Fridays CC Me Serum
TL;DR: What is it? Antioxidant serum. What does/should it do? Brighten and even skin tone. Repurchase? It’s good, but no.
Murad Resurgence Retinol Youth Renewal
TL;DR
What is it? A Vitamin A serum for the face, and a separate one for the eye.
What does/should it do? Boost cell turnover to help with ‘the signs of aging’, however you define that.
Repurchase? Yes, I love it.
The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser
TL;DR
What is it? Gel-balm to oil cleanser.
What does/should it do? Remove makeup and SPF, clean skin.
Repurchase? Yes!
Alpha-H Protection Plus Daily SPF 50+
TL;DR
What is it? Tinted SPF50+.
What does/should it do? Protect you from the sun, with a tint to even out skin tone and provide a bit of colour.
Repurchase? I’m on my fourth tube.
Spring 2020 Skincare Routine
TL;DR
I’m upping my antioxidant game as the weather turns warmer, because there is no way I’m not going out into the sun.
Aspect Hydrating Mask
TL;DR
What is it? Face mask.
What does/should it do? Hydrate and plump your skin.
Repurchase? A good investment, but not a repurchase for me.
